Injection-molded plastic figure set in 1:35 scale from ICM. The box contains four figures: a British officer and three Gurkha riflemen from the years 1942 to 1944, with well worked-out uniforms, weapons and gear. The set brings less common units fighting on the Allied side closer.
The Gurkhas are Nepalese soldiers who served in the British Indian Army from the 19th century and became famous for their courage and for the characteristic curved kukri knife. In the Second World War Gurkha regiments fought on a number of fronts, among them North Africa, the Middle East, Italy and above all the demanding conditions of the Burma theater against the Japanese army. The figures capture the tropical and field uniform of this period.
Separate the figures from the sprue, clean up the mold lines and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting. With tropical uniforms it pays to work with faded khaki shades and gentle wear, and to paint the faces by layering. Pick out the kukri and the details of the gear so that the character of the unit stands out.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
