The model captures the cab, the cargo bed and the characteristic half-track running gear. Maultier (meaning mule) was the collective designation of the German half-track conversions of trucks from the period of the Second World War. The vehicle kept its front wheels, while the rear axle was replaced by a tracked running gear for better mobility in rough ground and in the mud of the Eastern Front. The basis of this variant was a KHD (Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz) truck of the three-ton class.
We recommend assembling the half-track running gear carefully. Glue the parts with cement for plastic. For a faithful look, an airbrush for the base shade works well, followed by washes and pigments for mud and dust effects on the tracks and the chassis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
