An injection-molded plastic kit of the Ukrainian armored vehicle Kozak-2 in the configuration of the National Guard of Ukraine, 1:35 scale, made by ICM. Alongside this release there are other versions of the same vehicle that differ in the user and the markings, so make sure which one you want when choosing.
The Kozak-2 is a Ukrainian armored vehicle of the MRAP category, that is a machine designed above all for resistance to mines and improvised devices. It has all-wheel drive, high ground clearance and a shaped hull bottom meant to deflect the blast wave away from the crew compartment. The vehicle carries a crew and several soldiers in an armored cabin with armored glass and side doors, and there is usually a weapon station on the roof. Besides the armed forces the vehicle is used by the National Guard of Ukraine and the border service, and it is the user and the configuration that are the main things telling the releases apart.
On wheeled vehicles the chassis and the deeply shaped hull bottom are among the most interesting parts, but once the model is closed up they are only visible from below, so think the order of assembly through and paint them in good time. Put the tires aside and fit them only after the painting is done. Modern Ukrainian vehicles are often displayed in a single color or in a three-color camouflage scheme; both take a fine wash into the panel lines and light dust soiling of the lower areas.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
