An injection-molded plastic kit of the Douglas B-26K Counter Invader attack and counter-insurgency aircraft in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian maker ICM. The box also contains a set of figures of American pilots and ground personnel, thanks to which the model can be set into a scene on a base.
The B-26K was created by a thorough rebuild of the older twin-engine A-26 Invader attack aircraft for use in counter-insurgency work. A strengthened structure, new engines and new armament made it a tough machine for strikes on ground targets. It entered service in the middle of the 1960s and operated among other places from Thai bases over Laos during the war in Southeast Asia.
Finish the cockpit and the engine nacelles before you close the fuselage; glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting and leave the shades themselves and any masking to the airbrush. Paint the figures separately and set them into the scene only once the aircraft is finished.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
