The model captures the all-purpose cross-country car with an open and a canvas-topped body form; the box contains rubber tires and decals for several finishes.
The Land Rover 109 series (Long Wheel Base) is a British light cross-country vehicle with all-wheel drive, liked for its simplicity, toughness and ability to get through. In military and civilian form alike it carried people and materiel, served for liaison and worked as an all-purpose vehicle in the most varied conditions. Its rugged design kept it in service for many years and it spread all over the world.
With a cross-country vehicle it pays to assemble and paint the chassis, the drivetrain and the cab interior before the body is closed up. Glue the plastic parts with a thin plastic cement; fit the rubber tires only once they are painted. Apply a primer before painting and spray the color in thin coats with an airbrush. Create the weathering with dark washes into the recesses and with pigments for mud and dust effects on the chassis, the fenders and the tires.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
