Taxi de la Marne with French infantry 1914 in 1:35 scale (ICM) is a plastic kit of the Paris taxi with soldier figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from ICM brings a period Paris automobile together with figures. The set holds the vehicle itself, a driver figure and three French infantrymen. It is a complete genre scene from the opening of the First World War, which you build from hard plastic and cement with glue for plastic.
The Renault type AG served in Paris as a taxi. On 5 and 6 September 1914 the French army used hundreds of these cars to move soldiers quickly from Paris to the front at the river Marne, where the German advance was halted. From that comes the nickname Taxi de la Marne and the legend of the infantry carried into battle by taxi.
Paint the body and the interior of the car before assembly and clean the small parts up with a file. For the gloss finish of the body an enamel or a varnish compatible with the base suits well. Paint the figures separately; the faces and uniforms come out with washes and a dry brush. You will round the whole scene off on a small base with cobblestones or a roadway.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
