This item is not an aircraft model — it is a set of aircraft armament in 1:72 scale from ICM, intended for fitting out models of Soviet and Russian fighters. The set contains air-to-air guided missiles: R-27ER and R-27ET (medium-range missiles), R-73 (a short-range missile for close maneuvering combat) and R-77 (a medium-range missile with active guidance).
These missiles make up the typical armament of fighters of the MiG-29 and Su-27/Su-30 families. The set makes it possible to load the pylons of a model realistically with the matching missiles instead of the simplified parts from an ordinary kit, or to add armament where the base kit has none. Short-range missiles are used in close maneuvering combat, medium-range missiles for engaging targets at greater distances.
Separate the small parts from the sprues carefully, clean up the parting lines and glue them with thin modeling cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting. Training and live versions of the missiles differ in their color markings — bring out the white and gray shades of the bodies, the colored bands and the seeker heads according to the version you choose. Small stenciling is added by decals if they are part of the set.
This is an add-on armament set, not an aircraft model. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
