An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Typ LG3000 army truck in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer ICM. The package contains plastic parts, rubber tires, clear parts and a decal sheet. The model captures the characteristic three-ton truck with a wooden cargo bed.
The Typ LG3000 was a German three-ton truck built in the second half of the 1930s, powered by a six-cylinder diesel engine. Trucks of this type were used by every branch of the German armed forces; they were deployed in the Polish and French campaigns, in the Balkans and on the Eastern Front as standard rear-area transport equipment. They served to carry troops, ammunition, equipment and supplies and were among the typical soft-skin vehicles of German logistics.
ICM offers a detailed frame, a cab with an interior and the texture of the wooden cargo bed, so assemble and paint the chassis and the cab before you fit the body. Bring out the wooden surface of the cargo area with wood shades and a wash. Use period German shades for the painting; bring out the panel lines and the rivets with a wash and weather the running gear with dust and mud pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
