A plastic kit of the French fast battleship Strasbourg in 1:350 scale from Hobby Boss. The model offers a detailed hull, superstructures and gun turrets, photo-etched metal and a decal sheet. It is a striking naval subject in a medium scale.
The Strasbourg was a French fast battleship of the Dunkerque class of the 1930s. A characteristic feature of the class was the concentration of the main gun armament of 330 mm caliber into two quadruple turrets forward, which shortened the armored citadel and raised the speed. The Strasbourg was among the most modern capital ships of the French Navy at the start of the Second World War.
Decide whether you will build the full hull or the waterline variant on a stand. Finish the deck and the superstructures first and only then glue the fine photo-etched parts, for example the railings, with super glue. Use a primer and an airbrush; color transitions and a discreet patina will strengthen the sense of scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
