An extensive injection-molded plastic kit of the American aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga (CV-14) in 1:350 scale from Trumpeter. She is a ship of the so-called long-hull group of the Essex class. The package holds the upper and lower hull, the hangar and flight decks, a set of carrier aircraft and a stand; the hull can be built as full hull or as a waterline version. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
USS Ticonderoga (CV-14) was an American Essex-class aircraft carrier in the version with a lengthened bow (the long-hull variant). She was used in the Pacific war, where she carried a full carrier air group and took part in strikes against Japanese forces. The Essexes were among the most numerous and most successful aircraft carriers of the Second World War.
Lay the build out as the hull, the flight deck, the island superstructure and the aircraft. Bond the fine parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Handle the flight deck and the camouflage scheme with an airbrush and masks; pick out the details with a wash. The aircraft can be built with folded wings.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
