This injection-molded plastic kit from ICM in 1:48 scale represents the American twin-engine attack aircraft Douglas A-26 Invader in the C-15 version. The set also contains figures of pilots and ground personnel, which bring the model to life on a base or in a diorama. The exact contents of the box and the marking options are stated on the packaging.
The A-26 Invader was among the best American twin-engine attack aircraft of the Second World War. The A-26C version had a glazed nose with a position for a navigator and bombardier and was armed with machine guns as well as a bomb load. The aircraft stood out for its speed and its toughness, and thanks to those qualities it served long after the war in further conflicts. The added figures refer to typical activity on an air base.
First finish and paint the cockpit and the glazed nose, which are clearly visible on this type. Use thin cement on the plastic, sand the joints and treat the surface with a base coat. Paint the figures separately and place them only after the aircraft is finished. An airbrush and fine panel washes suit American schemes.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
