An injection-molded plastic kit of the German fighter Bf 109F-2 in 1:48 scale from ICM. The package contains injection-molded plastic, a clear cockpit part and a decal sheet; the model is meant to be glued and painted.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was one of the main fighters of the Luftwaffe. The F series, nicknamed the Friedrich, brought an aerodynamically cleaner airframe with rounded wingtips and a new canopy. The F-2 version was armed with an MG 151 engine-mounted cannon of 15 mm caliber and was committed from the spring of 1941.
Paint and fit the cockpit and the instrument panel before you close up the fuselage. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and the clear canopy with cement for clear parts. Lay down a primer and apply the mottled Luftwaffe camouflage schemes with an airbrush; you can manage the fine mottling on the sides of the fuselage with thinned paint at low pressure.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
