Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Sikorsky MH-60L Black Hawk multirole helicopter in 1:48 scale from ICM, in a themed box recalling Operation Gothic Serpent in Mogadishu, Somalia, in 1993. It is a new mold with rich surface detail; the model can be built in three versions (with the FLIR infrared sensor at the front and a nose radar, with FLIR only, or with an auxiliary internal fuel tank) and several marking options are available.
The Sikorsky MH-60L is a special variant of the UH-60 Black Hawk transport helicopter adapted for the use of special forces. It was powered by a pair of turboshaft engines and the machine became famous precisely during Operation Gothic Serpent, when American forces went into action in Mogadishu in October 1993; the shooting down of two helicopters and the fighting that followed became the subject of the book and the film Black Hawk Down.
First assemble and paint the interior of the cargo compartment and the cockpit before you close the fuselage. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, seat the glazing with canopy glue and mask the frames. Apply a primer before painting, spray the uniform dark finish with an airbrush and bring the surface to life with a fine wash of the panel lines and dry weathering of the exhaust trails. Finish the rotor blades and the landing gear at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
