A detail set of cast resin made for models of the British experimental supersonic Fairey Delta 2 aircraft in 1:48 scale. The Fairey Delta 2 made its name as a research machine with a delta wing and set a world speed record in the mid-1950s, so it is a rewarding and attractive subject.
The set adds fine castings to the model that go beyond what injection-molded plastic can do in the crispness of their edges and the fidelity of their shapes. Before gluing, wash any mold release agent residue off the resin parts, separate them carefully from the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Small blemishes left by the supports need only be sanded down.
