A set of three German 2 m tank aerials in 1:48 scale from Aber. It is a metal accessory, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds three German two-meter aerials in 1:48 scale for completing models of armored vehicles of the Second World War. It is not a model but a metal accessory. The aerials are made as fine metal rods with photo-etched mounting elements, which replace coarser or missing plastic aerials. The maker is the Polish brand Aber.
The two-meter rod aerial was standard equipment on German tanks and armored vehicles, for example the Tiger, the Panther and the Panzer series. On plastic models the aerial is either too thick or missing altogether. The metal version has the correctly fine, straight profile and looks more convincing, while resisting bending better than drawn plastic.
Seat the aerial in its mount on the hull or the turret and glue it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray the metal with a primer before painting. For realism the aerial can be leaned back slightly, as it was in motion.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
