A decal sheet in 1:48 scale for the Messerschmitt Bf 109F in Spanish service. Classic waterslide decals for less usual markings.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109F was a development stage of the most widespread German fighter of the Second World War. Compared with earlier versions it received an aerodynamically cleaned-up nose, rounded wingtips and tail surfaces without external bracing struts, so it can be told from the Emil even at a distance. Machines in Spanish markings offer a color scheme that is not usually found in the box with an ordinary kit.
A decal sheet in 1:48 scale with Spanish markings for the Bf 109F. These are classic waterslide decals, soaked in water before application and slid off the backing paper straight onto the model. Which particular machines and color schemes the sheet covers is given in the enclosed instructions.
Decals belong on a smooth gloss finish; on a matte surface silvering will appear under them. Cut them out as close to the print as you can, dip them in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let them rest until they start to slide freely. Settle them in place with a soft brush, blot the excess water with a paper tissue and use a softener around rivets and panel lines. Once everything is fully dry, varnish it all over so that the edges of the film disappear.
The sheet suits modelers who want to build a well-known type in an unusual form, and equally collectors of decals for projects under way. In 1:48 scale even small printing shows up, so it pays to work with a magnifier and a soft brush. The kit, paints and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
