An aftermarket detail accessory from the Hungarian company SBS Model. The set contains finely cast resin exhausts of the round type for models of the British Hawker Hurricane Mk. I fighter in 1:72 scale. The hollow, crisply executed stubs will replace the flat plastic exhausts and, once varnished, bring the engine area of a model markedly to life.
The Hawker Hurricane was a British fighter, one of the main defenders in the Battle of Britain. The Mk. I version was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and in the early production batches used the round type of exhaust stubs, which this set captures faithfully.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut away the casting blocks carefully and fit them to the fuselage; they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Varnish the exhausts separately and complete them with pigments for a faithful burnt and rusted shade. Fit them only at the end of the build. Do any sanding with respiratory protection.
The accessory is supplied as unpainted resin castings. Paints, glue and a kit are not included in the package.
