An injection-molded plastic kit of the German bomber Junkers Ju 88A-14 in 1:48 scale from ICM. The model stands out for a detailed cockpit interior, engraved panel lines and clear parts for the extensive glazing. The box holds plastic parts in gray and a decal sheet with several marking variants.
The Junkers Ju 88 was one of the most versatile German aircraft of the Second World War, used as a bomber, a dive bomber and a night fighter. The A-14 version was derived from the widespread A-4 with Jumo 211 engines and differed mainly in the MG FF cannon in the ventral gondola. It was used above all against shipping over the Atlantic, the Baltic and the Mediterranean between 1941 and 1943.
The extensive cockpit glazing calls for careful masking; finish and paint the interior before closing the fuselage. Glue the plastic with thin liquid cement and attach the clear parts with a canopy glue that does not fog. Apply a primer before spraying and put the typical German camouflage on with an airbrush; both the splinter and the squiggle scheme come out well with fine preshading.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
