Airfix 1:600 Prinz Eugen is a plastic kit of the German Admiral Hipper class heavy cruiser of the Second World War period.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:600 scale captures the German heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a full-hull version; it is a classic Airfix tooling, suitable for building on a stand too. The range of parts allows the characteristic silhouette of the ship to be built, with the main-caliber turrets, the superstructure and the masts.
Prinz Eugen was a heavy cruiser of the Kriegsmarine of the Admiral Hipper class. She made her name above all in the joint operation with the battleship Bismarck in 1941 and was among the longest-serving large surface vessels of the Kriegsmarine in the Second World War. She carried a main armament of 203 mm in twin turrets and extensive anti-aircraft armament.
Cut the parts from the sprue gates and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic, then sand the hull joints carefully. A primer, an airbrush for even deck and superstructure surfaces and a final accenting of the panels with a wash are all recommended. Small items such as railings can be added from photo-etched accessories. The model shows well on a modeling stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
