An injection-molded plastic kit of a modern container ship in 1:700 from the maker Revell. The model offers a full hull, an elaborate superstructure and a cargo of containers and is among the more demanding builds for more experienced modelers. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Colombo Express was in her day one of the largest container ships in the world. She serves to carry thousands of standard containers on long-distance sea routes and is a typical representative of modern container transport. Her massive hull and tall superstructure give the model a striking silhouette even in a reduced scale.
Decide whether you are building a full hull or the waterline variant. Glue the parts with a thin cement for plastic and clean the large areas of the hull up carefully. Lay on a primer and the paints with an airbrush; the containers come to life with painting in various colors and with fine weathering that gives the ship the realistic look of a working vessel.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
