A large injection-molded plastic kit of the American strategic bomber Boeing B-52G Stratofortress in 1:72 scale from Italeri. Given the size of the real aircraft, this is one of the largest aircraft models in this scale: the finished machine measures over half a meter. The B-52 Stratofortress is an American heavy strategic bomber with eight jet engines and intercontinental range. The B-52G was the most heavily produced modification and from the beginning of the 1960s formed the backbone of the strike forces of the American Strategic Air Command. The machine was able to carry both nuclear and conventional bombs and guided missiles; the G version saw combat, among other places, in Operation Desert Storm in 1991.
Because of the size and weight of the model, take care to glue the main parts firmly with liquid cement for plastic and let the joints cure properly; glue the large wings with their load in mind. Paint the interior and the landing gear bays before closing them up. After the gloss coat and the decals, pick out the extensive panel lines with a wash and add wear with an airbrush to match a long operational service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
