Pylons for supply containers for the C-47 Skytrain in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Plusmodel. A detail for machines used for supply from the air.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of cast pylons for supply containers for the Douglas C-47 Skytrain transport aircraft in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Plusmodel. This is the fit that machines intended for supply from the air received, and on a model it says at once what task the aircraft performed. Without the pylons a C-47 looks like an ordinary transport machine.
The Douglas C-47 Skytrain was the military version of the DC-3 airliner and became the most widely used transport aircraft of the Second World War. It carried cargo and troops, towed gliders and dropped paratroopers. For supplying units cut off from any land route, containers slung under the fuselage were used, dropped by parachute straight into areas that could not be reached on the ground.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the surfaces. Seat the pylons symmetrically about the axis of the fuselage, ideally with the help of a paper template, because equipment fitted crooked spoils the impression of the whole model. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint them only once they are glued on and match the shade to the fuselage.
The set is an accessory for a kit and does not replace the kit. Paints, glue and a model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
