This is a detail set, not an airplane model. It holds the complete equipment of the cockpit of the Finnish Brewster B-239 version in 1:72 scale and is made of fine resin combined with photo-etched metal parts. It replaces the simple interior of the base kit with a faithful instrument panel, seat, control column and side consoles. It is made by the Hungarian brand SBS Model.
The Brewster B-239 was the export version of the American Buffalo delivered to Finland. With the Finnish Air Force the machine won a remarkable combat reputation during the war and became one of the most successful Finnish fighter types. A cockpit rendered in detail is therefore among the features of the model that are most valued.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts and cut the casting blocks away; glue the photo-etch with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint and shade the interior first, then close the fuselage. Trying the fit in the particular kit beforehand makes the assembly easier.
The accessory is supplied unpainted; paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
