An injection-molded plastic kit of the heavy Jagdtiger tank destroyer in the version with running gear of Porsche design. The set contains parts in gray plastic, flexible tracks and decals; the model is built and painted.
The Jagdtiger was the heaviest series-built tank destroyer of the Second World War. On a chassis derived from the Tiger II it carried a powerful 12.8 cm anti-tank gun in a fixed armored superstructure, together with massive frontal armor. The version with Porsche running gear differed in the arrangement of the road wheels and was built only in small numbers.
Finish the running gear before closing the hull. Use thin modeling cement on the plastic, treat the surface with a base coat and lay the paint down with an airbrush. Washes and pigments for mud and dust effects bring the result to life; the broken-up surface of a Zimmerit coating is brought out by dry-brushing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
