Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of a present-day combat aircraft in 1:72 scale from the British brand Airfix. The packaging describes it as a starter set, that is a package for those who are beginning in modeling; with sets like this, basic equipment for painting usually comes with the kit, but the manufacturer does not state the particular extent. If the contents matter to you, check them before buying.
The F-35B Lightning II is the version of the American fifth-generation combat aircraft that can manage a short takeoff and a vertical landing. This is made possible by the rotating nozzle of the main engine and by a lift fan behind the cockpit, driven by a shaft from the engine; the aircraft therefore does not stand on the engine jet alone like older vertical machines, but on a combination of two sources of thrust. It is the B version in particular that the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy use, among other places from aircraft carriers with no catapult. The angular shape of the fuselage and the internal weapons bays serve to reduce radar reflectivity.
A present-day aircraft stands or falls on a smooth flat surface. Fill the joints, sand them back and spray on primer; apply the gray shades in thin coats and set them off only slightly, because the real finish is low in contrast. Do not pick out the panel lines in black, but in dark gray, otherwise the model looks like a toy. Glue the cockpit glazing on only after painting, and leave the interior finished before you close the fuselage up.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints beyond the contents of the set are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
