Injection-molded plastic model of the Soviet heavy interceptor MiG-31 (NATO code name Foxhound) in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian brand ICM. The model captures this massive two-seat interceptor with its long fuselage and large engine nacelles.
The MiG-31 was developed as the successor to the fast MiG-25 and intended to intercept air targets at long range, including low-flying cruise missiles. It is among the fastest combat aircraft in the world; its two-man crew consists of a pilot and a weapon systems operator. Its powerful radar could track several targets at once and guide long-range missiles onto them. It remains in service to this day in upgraded versions.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic, and fill and sand the long joints of the fuselage and the engine nacelles carefully. Lay down a primer before painting. Spray the light gray Soviet camouflage with an airbrush in thin coats. A gloss clear coat under the decals will keep their edges from lifting, and a matte or semi-gloss clear coat will even out the final look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
