Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Polikarpov I-15 fighter biplane, nicknamed Chato, from ICM in 1:72 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. For the exact contents of the package (the number of parts, decals, clear parts) go by the enclosed instructions.
The I-15 was an agile Soviet fighter biplane of the 1930s, typified by its gulled upper wing attached directly to the fuselage. It was powered by a radial engine and became famous above all in the period of the Spanish Civil War, where it earned the nickname Chato, roughly snub-nose in Spanish, from its opponents. It was one of the key types of the Soviet pre-war fighter force.
The crucial thing is the accurate seating of the gulled upper wing on the fuselage and the symmetry of the struts – let the glue harden on a flat surface. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage. After painting, add the rigging of the interplane bracing with a thin filament. An airbrush suits the Soviet and Spanish schemes, and a fine wash and a matte coat bring the fabric surfaces to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
