A plastic kit of the OV-10D+ Bronco observation and light attack aircraft in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian brand ICM. The model captures the characteristic twin-boom layout with a short center nacelle, a high-set wing and a joined horizontal tail. The box holds parts for the landing gear and for the external stores, finely engraved panel lines and decals for several marking options.
The Bronco was created as a specialized machine for counter-insurgency work and for directing fire from forward positions - rugged, with a good view from the cockpit and able to operate from short strips. The OV-10D version received a lengthened nose with a rotating turret for an infrared observation system, more powerful engines, exhaust suppressors to damp the heat signature and countermeasure dispensers on the tail booms. Thanks to that it managed observation and attack by day and by night. The follow-on OV-10D+ brought a strengthened wing, new wiring and changed engine instruments, from round dials to strip gauges.
The twin-boom layout calls for care when aligning the tail booms - check the assembly on a flat surface. Mask the extensive cockpit glazing and spray the frames before closing the nacelle. A low-flying machine takes pronounced wear well: weathered shades, dust and exhaust marks on the upper surface of the wing. Leave the external stores separate until the end of the painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
