An injection-molded plastic kit of the MiG-29 fighter in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian maker ICM. It is a commemorative edition dedicated to the so-called Ghost of Kyiv, a symbol of the resolve of fighter pilots. The package is based on the MiG-29 tooling in the 9-13 version and brings new schemes with the characteristic pixel camouflage of Ukrainian machines.
The MiG-29 is a Soviet twin-engine supersonic fourth-generation fighter in service with a number of armed forces around the world. The 9-13 version is marked out by an enlarged dorsal spine with an additional fuel load and by electronic warfare equipment. Ukrainian MiG-29s became one of the symbols of the war effort in the defense of the airspace and carry the typical gray pixel camouflage pattern.
Glue the plastic parts with thin cement for plastic, and fill and sand the joints if need be. Apply a base coat (primer) before painting; the silvery and gray shades of the pixel camouflage come out best with an airbrush. The canopy glazing should be masked, and decals applied over gloss varnish and then varnished over with a matte one.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
