Plastic kit of the Czechoslovak Zlin XIII aircraft (the box also holds a model of the Zlin XII Prototype) in 1:72 scale from RS Models - two models in one box.
Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer RS Models that holds two models in a single box - the Zlin XIII and the Zlin XII prototype. It is a short-run kit whose parts are usually rounded out by small details and by decals for several finishes. You can therefore build a pair of related Czechoslovak aircraft of the 1930s.
The Zlin Z-XIII was a Czechoslovak all-wood low-wing monoplane of the late 1930s, designed by Jaroslav Lonek; a single prototype was built. With its powerful engine it reached a high speed for its day and could be flown as a single-seater or a two-seater. The prototype survived the occupation dismantled and is today on display at the National Technical Museum in Prague. The Zlin XII was an earlier light training and touring low-wing monoplane from the same brand.
On a short-run kit, clean the flash off the parts and adjust the mating surfaces by sanding; glue with thin cement for plastic, and use cyanoacrylate glue for the small details if needed. Apply a primer, and capture the wooden and fabric surfaces of the real aircraft with light glazing. Mask the glazing, pick out the engraved detail with a wash and use a gloss clear coat before the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
