This is a quality aluminum handle meant for holding modeling tools with a shank of 3.175 mm (one eighth of an inch). The tool is fixed in the chuck with a hex screw and does not slip, so it holds firmly even during fine work. The cylindrical shape of the handle sits in the hand much like a pencil and the light aluminum construction limits fatigue during longer work.
Any modeler who works with interchangeable gravers and scrapers with a 3.175 mm shank and wants a comfortable, firm and accurately guided handle will appreciate it. The tools themselves (gravers, scrapers) are not included in the package and are obtained separately.
The tools held in it tend to be very sharp. Work carefully and store the holder and its tools out of reach of children.
