A sheet of clear plastic from the Spanish brand Green Stuff World, printed with a textured stained glass pattern. The manufacturer gives a thickness of 0.3 mm, a sheet size of 156 x 219 mm, suitability for 1:48 and 1:35 scale and one set in the package. The sheet is cut to the size of the window opening and glued in from behind into the window of a building, a chapel or a station hall on a diorama. It is not a kit but material for glazing.
According to the manufacturer the printing is done in two passes, so the pattern stays readable even without being backlit and is not lost against a dark background. That is the usual weak point of clear stained glass: with no light behind the window, the colored glass merges with the black interior and all that is left of the window is a dark hole.
For builders of dioramas, buildings and figure scenes who want a stained glass window without painting on clear plastic. It also serves well on a chapel or a railroad car, where the window is seen from the outside and from the inside, and in scenes that are photographed against the light. Paints, glue and the building are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
