An add-on set of Royal Air Force cameras in 1:32 scale for detailing a model or a scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
Photographic equipment was part of the ordinary kit of the Royal Air Force. Cameras were carried in the machines that flew for pictures, they were handled by specialists on the ground, and after landing they went straight to the laboratory. They were robust instruments with distinct shapes that come into their own on a model as well as in a scene, because they are one of the few elements from which the viewer immediately grasps what kind of work an aircraft was doing.
The set brings cameras in 1:32 scale, that is at a size where even small details are visible. You can use them inside the airframe, if the model has an accessible space, or stand them beside the aircraft as part of a scene with ground personnel. The exact make-up of the set is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are not polystyrene, so ordinary modeling cement does not work on them; use super glue, or two-part resin if you need time to position them. Cut the surplus material and the traces of production away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder off carefully. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and degrease them, otherwise the paint will peel. Apply it in thin coats; on a small object with sharp edges a heavy coat covers exactly the shapes you are buying the set for.
For builders of British aircraft in a large scale and for makers of scenes with ground personnel who find the equipment missing beside a model. The model, paints and glue are not included in the box, unless stated otherwise.
