Tamiya AS-31 Ocean Gray 2 (RAF) - an Aircraft Spray, 100 ml

This is a synthetic lacquer spray, not a water-thinnable acrylic. The AS range from Tamiya is developed specifically for painting aircraft models and offers matte, muted shades matching real aircraft camouflage. The Ocean Gray 2 shade belongs to the standard day fighter camouflage of the Royal Air Force in the Second World War, where it was combined with dark green on the upper surfaces. A 100 ml can covers roughly two to three models in 1:48 scale, or one larger 1:32 model.

Use

• Shake the can thoroughly before spraying, until you hear the mixing ball moving freely.
• Spray from a distance of about 25 to 30 cm in several thin coats rather than one heavy one, since the lacquer is aggressive on bare plastic.
• On delicate parts and for evening out the surface it is a good idea to use a primer.
• Once the lacquer is dry, details can be finished with acrylic or enamel paints, which will not attack it.
• Work at room temperature; in cold and damp the lacquer goes cloudy and dries badly.

For modelers of aircraft who want to lay the correct shade of British camouflage quickly and evenly over the larger areas of the wings and fuselage. A spray paints comfortably even without an airbrush.

It contains flammable solvents. Use only in a well-ventilated area, away from open flame, and protect your airways. It is thinned with lacquer thinner, not with water.
