The three finest steps of the low hexagon together, from 0.5 to 0.7 millimeters.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings together 0.5, 0.6 and 0.7 millimeters, that is the whole lower part of the range offered. Its usefulness lies in your not having to decide in advance: only on a part-built model is it clear how large a head will suit which place, and having three neighboring sizes at hand saves needless guessing.
On a real machine this layer of joints falls to everything that carries nothing. The mounts and frames of instruments, the caps of adjustment holes, the tabs holding cables and hoses, the clips of lines, the small lids on housings. There tend to be dozens of them on a machine, and it is exactly their number, not their size, that makes a surface alive. If a model lacks most of them, it comes across as smooth and clean in a way that does not exist in service.
The proven procedure is to start from the largest of the three sizes and come down: lay the head on, compare it with the surrounding surface and only then reach for a finer step. Differences of a tenth of a millimeter are almost imperceptible in the hand, but side by side on a model they decide whether a joint looks proportionate or oversized. With parts this small it pays to work on a light-colored pad and with fine-tipped tweezers.
