An imitation of hexagon screws 0.8 mm in size for fine-tuning models of motorcycles and other machinery.
Responsibility details are not available.
Molded screw heads on plastic parts tend to be flat and blurred, because a mold cannot keep a sharp edge. That is exactly what gives a model away in a close-up photograph. Separate hexagon screws solve that shortcoming: the original suggested detail is ground away and replaced with a part that has sharp edges and casts a shadow of its own.
The package holds hexagon screws 0.8 mm in size. The number of pieces, the material and the exact way of measuring are given by the manufacturer on the packaging. The parts are intended above all for motorcycle models, but they will also come in useful on cars, aircraft and machinery where the joints are exposed.
Work with tweezers and over a pad; parts of this size are easily lost. First grind the original detail down flat. If the screw has a shank, drill a recess for it with a matching bit; the part then sits level and does not tilt. Apply the glue in a minute amount with the tip of a toothpick, as an excess around the head will form a puddle and the detail will disappear.
The parts will be appreciated by modelers who build exposed frames, engines and suspension and want the detail to stand up even in a detailed photograph. A model, glue and tools are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
