Model bolts with a hex head and a collar under the head, size 0.5 mm.
Responsibility details are not available.
A bolt with a collar under its head spreads the load over a larger diameter and is used where the head would otherwise dig into a softer material, typically on engine casings and on covers. On a model it is recognized by the fine shoulder around the head, which catches a shadow during painting and gives the joint a depth a bare hex head does not have.
These are bolts with a hex head and a collar, in the 0.5 mm size. The dimension is among the finest, so it suits small assemblies and scales in which a bolder head would be distracting. On a part this small the collar shows mainly as a slight widening of the base, which makes a clean seating on the surface easier.
Pre-drill the hole with a bit matching the size and level the surface around it so that the collar seats over its whole circumference. If the part has no thread, glue it into the hole. Work with fine-tipped tweezers and over a surface with a raised rim. Meter the glue with the tip of a wire in a minute amount; a surplus creeps under the collar and rounds off exactly the edge for which this head shape is chosen.
They suit modelers who tell types of joint apart from the subject and want to keep the right head shape even on the smallest bolts.
The package contains only the bolts. The model, glue and paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
