Bolt, nut and washer in the 0.5 to 0.7 mm range

An add-on set of small imitations of fastening hardware for models. Compared with a single-size package it offers several sizes from 0.5 to 0.7 mm, so for one place on the model you pick the dimension that fits there and do not have to buy every size separately.

When the range comes in useful

Hardware on a real machine does not come in one size. The bolts holding an engine cover tend to differ from those mounting a brake or an exhaust, and you want to see the same difference on the model. A set with a range makes it possible to keep that difference without mixing several packages. The remaining sizes will also come in useful on the next build, because the dimensions in this band are among the most used.

Installation tips

• First try on a piece of scrap plastic which size looks right in the given place; a difference of two tenths of a millimeter tells clearly from close up.
• Keep the parts sorted by size, otherwise you will not tell them apart on the bench.
• Install them only after the seams have been sanded and the surface primed, so that they do not disappear under the paint.
• Check the suitable method of fixing and the type of glue in the manufacturer's instructions and apply it with the tip of a needle.

Who it is for

For a modeler finishing the details on a motorcycle or another machine with exposed mechanical parts who wants several dimensions on hand at once. It is an accessory, not a kit.
