Bolted joints give away the scale of a model faster than almost anything else. In a kit they tend to be suggested only by a shallow relief which is largely lost once the paint is sprayed. A separate part, by contrast, has a real shape: the head stands above the surface, a hexagonal recess is visible in the middle and a collar runs under the head, with light breaking on its edge. It is precisely on a motorcycle, where the frame and the engine are exposed and nothing hides under bodywork, that the difference tells at first glance.
Work with fine-tipped tweezers and lay the parts out on a light surface from which they are easy to pick up. An individual part carries well on the moistened tip of a toothpick. If the part is to sit accurately, drill a shallow recess at the spot to fix its position. It is glued with a minute drop of cyanoacrylate glue applied on the tip of a wire. Wipe the surplus off immediately, otherwise a flat ridge is left around the head once dry that is removed only with difficulty. Painting is simpler before gluing, for instance on double-sided tape, because a brush reaches a part of this size considerably less easily once installed.
