Flex-I-File Triple-Grit — A Pad with Three Grits

A sanding pad from Flex-I-File built on a simple idea: three different grits on one piece, from coarse through medium to the finest, polishing grade. It is not a kit, but a modeling tool. Instead of reaching for three separate abrasives one after another, you simply turn the pad in your hand and move smoothly to the next stage. This saves time and space on the bench, and above all it discourages skipping a step.

Use

• Coarse side — leveling mold seams, casting-block residue and coarser unevenness.
• Medium side — smoothing out the marks from the first step and unifying the surface.
• Finest side — polishing and preparing the surface for paint, varnish, or a glossy finish on clear parts.
• Working on cockpits, headlights and other clear parts that need gradual smoothing all the way to transparency.
• We recommend sanding wet — this creates less dust, keeps the abrasive from clogging as much, and gives a smoother result.

The logic of three grades

The rule stays the same: a lower grit number means a coarser abrasive, a higher one a finer one, and you always work from coarser to finer. Triple-Grit has this built directly into its design — the grades sit side by side on the tool in the order you use them. Skipping a step does not pay off here either: a fine abrasive will not smooth out a scratch left by a coarse one, it can only polish it, so it will show even more clearly after painting.

Who it is for

For modelers who want the entire sanding process in one hand — building plastic kits, fixing seams, cleaning up parts and finishing clear parts. After use, rinse the pad and let it air-dry; it will then last longer.

Do not inhale sanding dust. Work wet where possible, or otherwise protect your airways and ventilate the area. This product is a tool, not a kit.
