Valve stems bent to a right angle in 1:12 scale, version type 1. A small thing that will give the rim of a model a truthful detail.
Responsibility details are not available.
A valve stem bent to a right angle is common on racing machines. It leads the air into the tire from the side instead of straight out, so it does not get in the way in a deep rim, an inflator chuck is easier to fit onto it in the pits and it is not stressed so much during a tire change. On a real car it is a few millimeters of metal, but it is precisely such small things that make the difference between a nice model and a model a viewer stops at.
The set is in 1:12 scale, that is in the size where a bare rim with no valve stem is already glaring. The version is designated as type 1, which distinguishes the shape from the other variants in the line. The use is the same on the wheels of cars and motorcycles: the valve stem is fitted onto the rim so that the bent part points along the wheel.
Work over a surface with a raised edge, because a part this small is hard to find on the floor. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remnant down carefully. Wash and degrease the parts before painting and apply the paint in a thin layer, so that the edges do not get flooded. Fit the valve stem at the very end of the build, when you will no longer be taking the wheel in your fingers.
For modelers who finish wheels down to the last detail in 1:12 scale. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
