Eduard 1:48 Yak-9T

A set of precisely shaped painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for models of the Soviet Yakovlev Yak-9T fighter in 1:48 scale. The masks are die-cut from yellow kabuki (washi) tape, which follows the glazing frames exactly and leaves no adhesive residue when lifted off. It is not a paint or a kit, but an aid for quick, clean masking.

Use

• The masks are peeled off the sheet and laid on the cockpit frames according to the shape of the glazing.
• The open areas of glazing are covered with tape or masking fluid, and then the frame color is sprayed on.
• The set usually also contains masks for the wheel hubs, for a clean transition between the tire and the hub.
• Once the paint has dried, the masks are lifted off carefully to reveal crisp, straight edges.
