Anyone recognizes ornamental allium by its globe-shaped flower head carried on a long straight stem, a shape that will not be lost in a model bed even when seen from a distance.
Pierce or drill a hole in the base to suit the stem and glue the plant in with PVA glue, or on a smooth surface with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue. Ornamental perennials are planted in a garden in groups, so a cluster of five to ten pieces works better than spreading them evenly over the whole area. Vary the spacing and the height of the stems slightly, so that the bed does not look mechanical. Cover the gluing point with fine soil, mulch of crushed bark or low static grass. Thirty pieces in the package are enough for several separate beds.
