The paint comes from the Cobra Motor line by AMMO of Mig Jimenez and you will find it in the manufacturer's catalog under the designation A.MIG-0338. The name of the shade refers to rubber, so it suits parts that are meant to read as rubber: tires, seals, hoses, treads or grips. Judge the exact color against the manufacturer's color chart, because the way a shade shows on a screen always differs a little from the real coat.
Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, and use a thinner meant for this line. Mixing different lines together does not pay off, as the binder can curdle and the coat then goes grainy. Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom when standing. Rather apply several thin coats than one heavy one and let each dry properly. Try a new shade and its thinning on an offcut of plastic first, not straight on the model.
Rubber parts look more convincing when the surface stays matte and the edges are lightened only very slightly with a dry brush. On tires, a light dusting with a powder pigment where the wheel meets the ground works well. Clean the brushes and the airbrush right after work, as dried paint is considerably harder to remove.
Thinner, brushes and airbrushes are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
