CS51 from Lifecolor is a themed set of six acrylic, water-thinnable paints aimed at the metal surfaces of engines and machinery parts. It contains shades of weathered steel, cast iron, a piston engine block, burnt exhaust pipes and aged copper. The paints are designed to cover well even without a black undercoat, which makes painting engines easier and quicker. Each bottle holds 22 ml.

Use

• Application by brush and by airbrush onto plastic, resin, metal and other materials
• For the airbrush, thin the paint with water or Lifecolor thinner and spray at low pressure
• Combining the shades to tell cast iron, steel and copper apart faithfully on a single engine
• Picking out detail and the patina of burnt pipes and aged metal
