HEKI decovlies Wild Grass, Dark Green, 40x40 cm is a large-format mat in a deep dark shade.
Responsibility details are not available.
A grass mat from the German maker HEKI in the decovlies line, measuring forty by forty centimeters. The fibers are applied to a practically invisible backing mesh, the mat tears into irregular pieces and its edge vanishes in the landscape. Dark green is the deepest shade in the line and on a model it works like shadow: an area covered with it looks damper, deeper and older than the fresh greenery around it. In a large square format this is material for continuous areas.
Apply spray adhesive to a new base and press the mat down. On an area that is already grassed you do not need glue, as the fibers interlock with the base. Do not use the dark shade over a whole area, as the subject then looks heavy and without depth. Tear the mat into sections and interleave them with a paler variant: put the dark one where there is shade or damp, the pale one on a sunlit crest, and leave the transition between them frayed.
For layout and diorama builders who work with light and shade over large areas, and for modelers who want to give an area depth. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
