Static grass from Heki in an autumn shade, fiber length 10 mm, a 75 g package. The XL version means a long fiber, that is a material for tall growth, not for a mown lawn.
Autumn grass is a long way from saturated green. It is dried out, pitched toward ocher, beige and brown, and that is exactly why it suits stubble fields, field margins after harvest, unkept strips along roads and places where a scene is to look tired. It works well outside autumn too: dry grass grows on embankments and on south-facing slopes all summer long. Ten millimeters corresponds in 1:87 scale to growth around 87 cm, in 1:35 scale to roughly 35 cm.
For builders of dioramas and layouts who want a scene from late in the season or need to get dry patches into green country. Tall grass will at the same time serve as a screen behind which the edge of a base or the join of two surfaces disappears. A 75 g package will go a long way over a large area.
The package holds static grass only. The glue, an applicator and a surface are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
