A bare wall and an empty floor give a backdrop away even on an otherwise carefully built scene. The set offers pictures and carpets in 1:35 scale, that is the two things that settle an interior fastest. They will find a use in a living room, in a requisitioned house serving as a headquarters and in ruins, where a picture has been left hanging askew on the last standing wall.
The basis is flat motifs of pictures and carpets, which are used directly in a scene: the pictures on a wall, the carpets on the floor. Frames, furniture and walls are not included; the set complements an interior that you build yourself.
The pictures come out well when you add a frame from a thin section or a strip of cardboard and paint it in a shade of wood or gilding. Hang them slightly askew, because a perfectly level picture looks artificial. Before laying a carpet down, wave it lightly and let the edge run under the furniture. In a derelict scene add dust and rubble sparingly, so that the motif stays legible.
