Responsibility details are not available.
A small but striking model of the German Tiger I heavy tank in 1:100 scale from Zvezda. The kit is laid out as snap-fit: the parts hold without glue, there are only a few of them, and even a beginner or a child can put it together in a few minutes. The model is part of the Art of Tactic battle system, so it is deliberately simplified and robust; it suits tabletop games as well as a quick piece for a collection. The finished model measures about 8 cm.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank of the Second World War, famous for its thick armor and for an 88 mm gun derived from an anti-aircraft gun. It entered the battlefield in 1942 and quickly gained a feared reputation; its weaknesses were weight, fuel consumption and demanding maintenance. It is among the best-known armored vehicles in history.
Thanks to the snap-fit design it is enough to take the parts off the sprue, clean them up and join them; a drop of modeling cement for plastic only strengthens the joints. Even in a small scale a base coat stands out (for example dark yellow with brown and green stripes), along with a dry brush on the edges and a light wash in the recesses to bring out the detail.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
