An injection-molded plastic kit of the ocean liner R.M.S. Titanic in 1:1200 scale from Revell. The small model is made up of a modest number of parts and includes the four characteristic funnels, the propellers, a detailed deck and a base for display. Thanks to its lower difficulty it suits less experienced modelers and a quick build of an iconic ship.
The Titanic was a British luxury ocean liner of the White Star Line and, when completed, one of the largest ships in the world. During her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York she struck an iceberg on the night of 15 April 1912 and sank; the disaster cost more than 1500 lives and became one of the best known maritime tragedies in history.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the small joints. Paint the hull in the typical combination of black sides, white superstructure and a red underwater section; the funnels were buff with a black top. Once the decals are on, bring out the deck lines with a fine wash. The finished model goes on the base supplied.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
